I was reading the most fascinating article the other day about fetishes. It turns out that 90 percent of all preferences and fetishes stem from childhood experiences.
It makes sense, since most women marry their fathers! Not literally Alice, but they marry men who remind them of their fathers, and the scary bit is, some don't even realize it.
Most women who have tattooed, alcoholic, non committal boyfriends come from homes where their dads were tattooed alcoholics.
Good experiences or bad experiences shape our future. If a dog bites us when we are a child, chances are we will always be afraid of dogs. (or that particular breed) The same is said that if the first boy you had a crush on had a southern accent, you will most likely always have a soft spot for southern boys.
How did I not know this, it's so obvious!
A man who has a spanking fetish, had a nanny who spanked him when he was a child.
A girl likes burly handy man types, why, because she's a daddy's girl and pop was a handy man.
A guy sleeps with hundreds of women because his mother abandoned him.
A person who likes muscled men, may have been exposed to weight lifters or pro wrestlers at a young age...
Whoa!! I am gagging right now.
So it makes you look at yourself and wonder, what happened to me, good or bad, when I was younger, to make me fancy what I fancy?
When i was a young lad, the first woman I crushed on was WWF manager Miss Elizabeth. Pretty face, big hair, prone to slapping, and a glamorous air about her, and hello, she was a wrestler. Some things never change.
and on a personal note Alice, a boy in a t-shirt, jeans and flip flops STILL gets my undivided attention...but that's a story I'll tell another time.
