How are you dahling? How was your summer at the Jersey Shore? Fun in the sun debauchery, as planned?...I certainly hope so.
Speaking of MTV's Jersey Shore, I was watching an episode and Ron said something that has stuck with me. He was trying to explain why he cheated on Sammi, and his explanation went something like this. "Everybody Cheats". Granted it's a weak excuse from a weak minded individual but was it accurate? Alice, does EVERYBODY cheat?
Speaking from experience, I know I have strayed more than once, usually in retaliation of a cheating partner, but can we really make a blanket statement that everyone strays? I suppose each circumstance is different. Some, like myself, cheat for revenge. Some cheat because they're in a loveless marriage. Some cheat because they're allowed to. Others cheat just because the opportunity presents itself, but there has to be someone who looks at infidelity and says...'No Thank you."
It is proven that men cheat more frequently and women cheat for longer durations. Meaning, a man will cheat with the waitress, the stewardess, his secretary, his next door neighbors wife, and one of his poker buddies, but a woman will find one partner, and have a long term affair with them. Two totally different concepts but adultery nonetheless.
So what do you think, Alice, is Ron right? Eventually, do we all fall victim to infidelity?
Which brings me to my next question. What...or whom did YOU do this summer? :)
